Playing catch-up...
   This post covers two May, 2020 visits to Sicily Island Hills (specifically, the southern part of the JC "Sonny" Gilbert WMA). Below are habitat shots, then the lists for birds and some other groups.

Rock Falls Trail upstream from Rock Falls - 5/27/20 -- Notice the Sweetleaf growing along the trail (there's a lot of it in these woods). I looked for King's Hairstreak butterflies here, but found none (Sweetleaf is their host plant, and this is during their May-June flight season).

Birded driving, with numerous stops, the main road in the southern of the WMA, going as far as Rock Falls Trail parking, also walked ~0.15 miles on the next side road on left after check-in kiosk

71-76F.; rain had just ended; sunny, became cloudy for final ~30 mins; wind calm to light breeze
Birded driving, with numerous stops, the main road in the southern part of the WMA, going as far as Rock Falls trail head, and walking approx. 0.5 miles on the trail.
