This post covers visits to Catahoula National Wildlife Refuge (located in La Salle and Catahoula Parishes) during June, July, and August of 2022. During this time I went to the Headquarters, Willow Lake, and Bushley Bayou Units, but did not make it to the French Fork Unit. There are also lists for three locations that are not on the NWR but which are located near the refuge. These are Fannin Road (La Salle Parish part), Catahoula Lake Recreation Area (La Salle Par.), and the Archie or Little River Rec. Area (Catahoula Par.).
Bird lists, by Unit/location, will be first, with tallies for each date. Then at the end of the post there are lists for butterflies, mammals, Herps, Odonata, and wildflowers, with each of those lists covering all dates and all Units lumped together, without tallies of how many individuals were detected.
